about
Daphne is a young woman with a dark and troubled past. After losing her mother at the age of seven, a woman who she'd always looked up to and adored, her father abused her throughout her teenage years until his death during the Battle of Hogwarts. She's a woman who's learned to be tough and protect herself from harm, but who also has a very loving and maternal side to her. She finds it difficult to trust people and has a close circle of people she allows to see her weaknesses, but on the whole she's a strong, independent young woman who's determined to make the world a better place.
She learned to put up the front of an Ice Queen in her school years, but over time she's learned to soften herself, little by little. She comes across very cool and collected and more than a little stand-offish with people she doesn't know, although she exhibits perfect manners and no small amount of charm. After the battle of Hogwarts, she spent a year putting herself together before taking her NEWTs, and then spent another year in therapy to deal with long seated anxiety issues and PTSD as a result of the abuse she's suffered. In the last four years she's set up a charity that aims to place orphans of the war, Muggleborns rejected by their parents, and abused children with foster and adoptive families who can take care of them. The Eliza Greengrass Foundation for Magical Orphans has grown over the years to effectively become the Wizarding Social Services, and Daphne's more than a little proud of what she's achieved.

friends
Daph has very few friennds she's genuinely close to, and most of them her housemates from school - Slytherins are a very tight knit bunch, after all. She's nice enough to people she doesn't know very well, but it takes a long time for her to warm up to people and begin to trust them, which is something she's been working on in recent years. She's very maternal towards her friends and can be very protective of them; she tends to fuss and is definitely the mum friend in her circle.
She's more likely to be friends with Slytherins than anybody else, just because they're more likely to understand her. She doesn't care much for blood status - she did have a muggle boyfriend at one point, after all - but she's a little more wary of former Gryffindors than the other houses simply because of how they treated her house in school. She tries, though, and she's a loving and loyal friend to have on your side.

enemies
Daph isn't really the type to actively make enemies; she doesn't have a lot of time to hate people. That said, she's not a fan of people who insist on blood purity, eliminating Slytherins because it was all their fault - which is just rubbish - bullies, prejudiced bigots or abusers. She thinks there's a special place in hell for them.
This is defintiely something that I'm open to; she's certainly wary around Gryffindors in particular and I think it would be interesting to see how she and others react to each other in the aftermath of the war as there's definitely a lot of distrust and resentment on both sides.

lovers
When it comes to love, Daphne is a hopeless romantic, though she won't necessarily admit it. She's a sucker for flowers and chocolates and she likes feeling spoiled, though she'll always give the same in return - equality and all that. She's at her best when she's in love and loved in return; she blossoms with it. She wants nothing more than to settle down and have a happy life.
Daphne's romantic history is pretty short, having only had a handful of boyfriends previously. She had a Muggle boyfriend when she was sixteen, who was definitely her first in many ways, and there were a couple of other "acceptable" boys that courted her, but that's it. I'm really open to anything here, guys or girls, but Daphne needs someone who'll shower her with affection and show her how much she's loved and cherished.

others
For the most part, this would consist of work colleagues. She has a staff under her who help to place children with prospective families, as well as people who work at the group home for kids they can't place. Beyond that, there's a team of lawyers she works closely with on the occasions that they prosecute abusive parents, ministry workers she often corresponds with, and teachers who tip her off on students who may need her help. Additionally, there are the kids she's helped, some of them still students, some of them not old enough for Hogwarts yet, and some of them recent graduates.
