Rules

THE RULES

While rules may be similar across all sites, please note ours may be slightly different. Since you are bound to the rules while on the site, you may as well read them. Please note occasional rule changes may take place, and if that occurs, staff will notify members of the changes.

GENERAL
ACCOUNTS: For each character that is made, there is to be a separate account. If you are confused as how to make a new account, please ask a staff member. You can register with any username and then change your account to your characters name

SPAMMING: Please do not over post in the cbox, or double post on games/threads on the sites.

SIGNATURES/ICONS: While not required, if used they have to be related to your character.

RATING: This site is a PG-13 site. This is to remain in accordance with the Proboards Terms Of Service. (For more information on the rating and what may be allowed please PM a staff member)


CHARACTER RELATED
NUMBER OF CHARACTERS: There is no limit to the number of characters you create, however, they all must be used. Don't make 7 characters and only post with 2.

GENDER: Please try to avoid only playing one gender. We would love that for every 3 characters of one gender you make a character of the opposite gender. So if you make 3 females, we would appreciate if your 4th is a male.

FACE CLAIMS: Be realistic in who is playing your character. A 50 year old is unlikely to pass for a school age child. On another note, please don't use any person under the age of 13. For younger characters you can use an older teen who has acted for a while as long as they are over 13 at the current moment. To check who is currently available to use please see THIS thread.

MARY SUE/GARY STU: Please don't make your characters perfect. Those characters are actually quite boring. Everyone has flaws in the world, so it would stand to reason your characters would as well.

ABILITIES/MAGICAL POWERS: Magical folk who have special abilities are actually quite rare. As such, if we see too many of these, we may start limiting them to only a couple spots each. This applies to parslemouths, animagi, metamorphagi, etc.

GODMODDING: Please don't control another person's character without the express consent of the other person. This does include whether or not a spell hit, but to be fair, the vast majority of spells will hit, or have to be blocked with another.

POST LENGTH: We do not have a word count requirement on this site. However, please give your partner enough to work with. If you are stuck, think of what your character is thinking, or what they are actively doing. For more help, as a staff member.

CONTENT: We would ask you please limit topics such as racism, politics, and any possible trigger topics (sexual assault, self harm, suicide etc). They don't really have any place here, and we would prefer not having these. If you feel it is necessary, please run it by a staff member first, and put a warning in the topic.

MAGIC: Unforgivable curse use is generally not allowed. However if needed for a plot, as a staff member first. Characters over 17 may apparate as long as it is off school grounds. ((~~Please list your favorite Cartoon Character~~))

OTHER: Please run things like death, catastrophic injury, pregnancy (especially teenage pregnancy), or any major plots by a staff member first.

OUT OF CHARACTER
RESPECT: Please respect not only the staff but the other members as well. We're all here for fun, and deserve to be respected. This means don't bully, insult, fight, abuse etc. the other members. If you feel like something has happened to you in this manner please report it to a staff member. This does mean including evidence. We will hear both sides of the story though.

STAFF: The staff work hard to make this site enjoyable for all. If you have any issues with anything don't be afraid to contact one of us. We're all very friendly. However, if we have made a decision it is not to be argued with. Rules are here for a reason. If you do feel something is unfair, we are open to hearing it, just in a calm manner.

ADVERTISING: Advertising other sites is perfectly okay, however may only take place in the advertisment boards (aka not in the cbox, or in your signature). If we can't advertise back, the advertisement will be deleted.

CBOX: All of the above rules apply to the chat box as well.

BANS: If someone is a repeat offender in breaking the rules, especially on the respecting others subject, the staff reserves the right to ban someone for a determined time. How long will depend on how often it has happened and the severity of the issue.
