"Oh, my excuse?" Alicia snorted disbelievingly, "My excuse is I seem to be surrounded by wallflowers who aren't up to dancing." She arched a challenging eyebrow, she wasn't the best dancer these days but she could certainly manage toget her groove on. Of course, the Nimbus Company didn't have many interesting people - let alone anyone who'd be willing to go out to a party with her when she wanted to. It was rather sad sometimes, but judging them also presented a rather sad reflection back on herself. "Captain Fun, huh? You don't seem to be up to any fun now." As enjoyable as pestering Lucas was she wasn't about to start calling that the same sort of fun as a party was meant to be. Now, if they'd actually gotten the pair talking that might be another situation altogether. She'd have to tune back in to Quidditch, then, because she wasn't going to miss the next party if this might come up.
"Or she could end up our very own Violet Tillyman - handsome lover, seven children, and all that." It would be a rather grand romance, not to mention all around odd, but Alicia wasn't pushing for another pair. Though, maybe Alicia wouldn't mind that turn of events herself if that Myron Otherhaus really had been that handsome. It was worth a shot, anyway. "Yes, if you're not talking to her you might as well party like a Gryffindor in her honor." Because Alicia was fairly certain that Gryffindors always had the most fun, and they had certainly always had the noise complaints to prove their partying superiority.

He stood there half listening to the conversation and half wondering how much of a mistake it was to not seek out Amelia and say hello to her. He knew she'd learn he was at the party and would ask why she hadn't seen him the next time she saw him. But if he had, it could lead to some negative consequences right? He just didn't want to chance it. He was brought back into the full conversation when Romy turned his attention back on him. "Better floo where she just has to say something, and the worst that happens is she ends up in the wrong place, then apparate and end up splicing herself."
"Romy you'd go out and dance like that even if you were sober. I've seen it." he said with a smile, taking a small sip of the drink Romy had already put there. If it was in a large group like this, Lucas needed a lot of alcohol to be comfortable dancing like that. In a smaller group, like their small team outings, he was more comfortable, but it still took some alcohol for him to join in. "I was having fun watching you dance you know." he said before replying to Alicia saying "And how would I know what the Gryffindor parties were like? You know we didn't do things like that in Ravenclaw."

"Hey! I'm plenty of fun!" Romulus actually argued with Alicia now distracted from his attempt at getting Lucas and Amelia in the same room to realize their undying love for one another. Oh well. Maybe someday. "I was dancing plenty before you and Captain Mopey started running things." Hands on his hips he tilted his head tiredly up toward the ceiling with an overly dramatic and prolonged groan stomping his foot. The thought of getting Lucas to party hard though... That had him smiling and he pretty much turned on a dime emotion wise.
"Right! Lets do that then. We'll get you partying like a Gryffindor. Whatever that means." He announced with a big sweeping gesture of his arm grabbing four jello shots from a passing by tray and handing one to each friend and keeping two blue ones to himself. "Gryffindor." He repeated. Curiosity peaking in his voice. "That's a house, right? I remember you talking about them. Let me see if I can get them. Hufflepuff, Gryffindor, Slytherin, and uh... Uh... Don't tell me.. UHHHHH....Ravenpaw! Nice. Told you I'd get it." And with that he tilted his head back scooping both tiny jello shots into his big mouth. Swirling them back and forth between his cheeks he swallowed and then opened his empty mouth sticking out his blue tongue showing off for his pals.
"Pardon me ladies." He bowed to Lucas and Alicia before hopping onto the dance floor to momentarily return to his dancing along with the crowd.

"Well, I was dancing well and good before you started up with your screechy-screeching." Alicia sniped back with a sniff. She was so totally fun at parties, she was just a touch or two out of practice. That was the obvious explanation. Really, Alicia couldn't have gotten that boring, not in just a few years. She was still in her prime. She used to be hitting up all of the Quidditch parties with her teammates and while she might not have ever been the life of the party, Alicia had never been a slouch either. She wasn't just going to let the overgrown behemoth of a keeper tell her that she wasn't fun at parties. Alicia Spinnet didn't go down without a fight, no anymore. It had to be just like riding a broom, at least once she got herself off of the ground. "They were always loud and just a bit out of control. Not to mention weird." Especially once the Weasley twins had started tinkering about. Things had always ended up weird. "At least, until McGonagall showed up and we all pretended to be passed out ... not that she bought it." Though the ploy was as much of a part of Gryffindor tradition as anything. "Much fun, though. So much fun." Not to mention the bit of wonder that they all handed spent significantly more time in detention. Alicia accepted the shot from Romy but narrowed her eyes at his pronunciation of the four houses before grinning, "Yes, Ravenpaw; there dwells the wise lion-footed eagle of knowledge." She nodded seriously, at least it was better than butchering Gryffindor. Then she might have had to punch him, out of house pride of course.
Alicia narrowed her eyes as Romy made his way back onto the dance for. This would not stand. She tossed the shot back and placed the bottle in her other hand down and cast a glance back at Lucas, "Come on buddy-boy, I have things to prove on the dance floor." She strode back towards the dance floor because there was no way that she was going to let the giant keeper show her up. She certainly knew plenty of dance moves that would make do in proving her point. Alicia immersed herself back in the chaos with a battle cry of, "SPINNETS NEVER LOSE." As she twirled her way into the crowd of dancers and began to get down. No way was she turning down a challenge, and that had sounded suspiciously like a challenge and she couldn't let that stand.

"You were dancing until you decided to come bug me." he said with a slight head shake. Deep down he did appreciate Romy's concern for him, but at the same time it was a bit much sometimes. Just coming to a party like this took a lot for the introvert. He was perfectly content to sit on the sidelines and watch what was going on, maybe have a conversation or two, and just enjoy the night. But being pushed to do something he didn't want to do, even with the best intentions had been a bit much for him. But Romy was still his friend and he'd push through whatever his thoughts for him. "I am perfectly fine not partying like a Gryffindor thank you very much." No he needed sometime to collect his thoughts while enjoying watching. He shook his head when Romy messed up his old house name, but he didn't correct him. What did it matter? Roomy was drunk and there was no need to butt in and correct him. Especially as Romy was head back to the dance floor. "It'd be similar to a Sphinx." he said with a smile in response to Alicia's statement.
Then Romy headed back onto the dance floor. Lucas waved a little at him, but then leaned back against the wall. When Alicia tried to get him to go and join the pair of them he shook his head. "There is not enough alcohol in the room to get me out there tonight." No the mood for dancing was just not there tonight.

Spinnets never lose! He heard the holler over the beating bass line of the music and the conversations of the crowd. He could even make it out through the writhing bodies. Well, she certainly was a spite fire wasn't she? If he hadn't heard her accent she would have assumed she was an American like Amelia. Though both seemed to have a knack for not holding anything back and being rather unapologetic about things. He could at least tell that much already.
"There's a first time for everything." Romulus teased raising his arms above his head to the point that his t0shirt rose to reveal his tummy twirling in circles like the most ungraceful ballerina. Not that he cared. He was having a blast. Notciing Alicia bouncing about happily with Lucas hugging the walls he rolled his eyes at her. "Bundle of fun that one isn't he?" He commented loudly, still jumping up and down in time with the music. He adored his best friend and fellow teammate a bunch but he definitely had a tendency to be a wet blanket. They would need to fix that soon. Romulus had already put a bit of work in on the matter but now with this Spinnet on the same page it might cut the workload and time in half.

"There most certainly is not a first time for everything." Alicia bit back. She hadn't backed down from a challenge, let alone lost one, for quite a while. She wasn't about to start now, especially not to the giant-sized keeper. Really, it was a bit like he was taunting her with his height, and that was won competition that she couldn't win. "I will happily wipe the floor with you." Though, it did appear that her moves were a little dated, you couldn't exactly go wrong with spinning madly in circles. At least, until she started to really get dizzy. It wasn't like she could get too fancy with her moves without throwing out her hip, or some other insane and ultimately embarrassing catastrophe. She was better off keeping it simple so she didn't have to be carted off of the dance floor.
Alicia snorted at Romy's question, "Has he ever been a bundle of fun?" Sure, Lucas was a nice enough fellow, had always been as far as she remembered, but he hadn't been all that much of a partier in school, at least not that she had noticed. But then, she hadn't exactly been on the lookout for that back in school, and her willful distraction certainly hadn't helped her to notice the little things. Shame. Maybe the years between then and now had changed things? It wasn't like they'd really stayed in touch. "Maybe he just needs a bit of a hard shove?" In more than one way. It was certainly one way to get things done, and it could be a fair bit faster than waiting around for him to come around all on his own.

Romlus continued to bounce up and down in time with the music but chose to hop toward Alicia until they were side by side jumping in time. "Has he always been like this?" He asked curiously over the music, looking down at the petite woman. Here was a better question. "Has he always been so up Meels' butt?" Romy snorted, unable to stop his laughter (an actual problem of his) as he danced around twirling some stranger around with some ease. "I keep telling him to put himself out there but he is stubborn as a... uh... uh... Thing with the horns and wings. You know." He brought an index finger up by each ear and made a snorting sound before returning to his dancing, a big ole smile on his face.
"You're pretty fun though. When you aren't being a big ole meanie." He shrugged his broad shoulders swaying back and forth as the songs changed and he clapped his hand looking to Lucas beckoning him over. "How about this song Luke Luke? Huh? How about it? COME ON. ONE DANCE. THEN I WILL NEVER BUG YOU AGAIN." Well, now everyone was looking because he was being so loud but honestly Romy didn't care in the slightest he was just trying to keep himself entertained. Romulus lulled his head to look at Alicia nonplussed. "See? Stick in the mud."

"Always been like what? He's been quite a lot of things, and I'd rather not waste my breath." Maybe it was a bit of an exaggeration but she could probably make a list, especially after her last few years at Hogwarts. The top of which would be his obliviousness, to a rather notable range of things. "Oh, absolutely." Alicia replied with a laugh, "Though, I think it was more interesting to see her squirm instead of admitting her feelings for him." No amount of needling had really gotten the words out of her, no matter how obvious they might have been. Alicia spun around again, sinking into her groove. Needling Amelia had probably been half the fun she had had at Hogwarts, outside of Quidditch. "Oooh, a flying bull? A Pegasus?" Yeah, neither of those sounded anywhere close to being right. "Yeah, I think you're going to have to be a bit more clear." Alicia added, squinting up at him in confusion.
Alicia narrowed her eyes at Romy, "Oh, I'm the big meanie?" She was so not a meanie. "Same to you, bud." Alicia fought the urge to stomp her foot in protest. "I will fight you." Well, maybe not given the size difference but she would fight to defend her 'honor.' Maybe she could get a hold on him if she got up high enough and held on tight? Doubtful. Alicia's attention flickered back to Lucas when Romy called out to him, "Yes, come on Lucas. I need your help to kick your buddy's arse." Though, given their friendship it sounded more and more like she would end up being the one getting her arse kicked in some sort of dance battle or whatever. "I don't know, he might just be a little shy. You are screaming at him like a banshee." Seriously, if she was taller and her ear closer to his mouth it would have been a significantly bigger problem.
