Alicia groaned and collapsed back onto her bed, staring blearily up at its canopy. She was so done with tonight by this point. Studying for her NEWTs wasn't exactly how she had wanted to spend her Friday afternoon, not when there were so many other more interesting things to do. Inter-house Room of Requirement parties and sneaking down to the kitchens to beg some snacks off of the house elves, now that might be a good time. Maybe she'd end up running into one cute Ravenclaw or another. Hell, she'd even take running Quidditch drills if it meant her brain got a break and stopped turning into soup. But, with the end of the year steadily encroaching Alicia knew well enough that her mother would have her head if she came anywhere close to failing. No thanks, she rather liked her trust fund - and the relationship that she had with her parents, intact. No matter how much she adored Quidditch, she wasn't going to be letting her family down.
Alicia perked up when the door to her dorm creaked open, grinning at Amelia from her position partially hanging off of her bed - utterly done with the night. She certainly looked a bit odd from the position, but no more than usual. Especially compared to when she got up to her broomstick tricks. "You have no idea how lucky you are to not be taking your NEWTs this year." She muttered good naturedly, pulling herself upright and shaking her head in exasperation at the piles of books and parchment that laid spread out across her bed, in no particular order and absolutely no reason. She had known she should study, but figuring out where to start had been the real trouble. "Nastily exhausting is right." She sighed an glanced back up at Amelia, a grin stretching across her face as she studied her dorm mate curiously.
"Sooo, anything exciting going on?" Alicia queried eagerly, her eyes lighting up. "Got anything to distract me from this mess?" She made puppy-dog eyes at her dorm mate, desperately hoping that Amelia knew something that could distract her from the endless cycle of studying and inevitable irritation. She couldn't wait for this year to be over, if only that it meant she could be done with the on again off again stress and high expectations. Quidditch made up for it though, when she could shake her way free of her other responsibilities, even when they were facing lectures on what they had done wrong during the last game.
Amelia was trying to be sneaky as she entered the Gryffindor dorm, trying to keep the door as quiet as possible, but it was to no avail as her roommate caught her right away. "Yeah. Super lucky. Getting ready for Quidditch Nationals is a walk in the park compared to NEWTs." She joked right back allowing her messenger bag to slide down into a nearby chair. Groaning she arched her back a bit adjusting to not having the weight pressing down on her... Physically or metaphorically. But they didn't need to get into that right now. "Are they really that tough?" She asked more genuinely, turning to face Alicia.
Anything exciting going on? "Not really. After dinner I bumped into Hart." That was three hours ago and she was only now just getting back to the room. She knew Alica had a crush on Lucas, at least that's what Amelia gathered by what she saw, but Amelia was friendly enough with Lucas (as friendly as Amelia could be). She always bickered with him and poked fun at him. Their own weird little relationship at surface level... Beneath that.. There may have been something deeper going on but Amelia hadn't caught onto that yet. "Flyboy was particularly chatty this evening. I think he's a little nervous about graduating though he says otherwise." As focused on Quidditch as Amelia could be she could still pick up on that much.
"You going to go to the BBQ? He asked if we were going." She asked with a little smile as she sat on the edge of her bed. She figured Alicia would be happy about that bit of news. That Lucas Hartwell had asked about her (even if it was about the pair of them together).

Alicia snorted, "At least you looove Quidditch." She shot back easily, it certainly had always been a labor of love for her. "I might just set everything on fire at the end of the year to 'assert my dominance' over them." By then the trace could bite her, she was having her bonfire. "Maybe not the The Monster Book of Monsters, though. That thing's volatile enough, who knows what would happen if you added fire to it." Alicia leaned back against her bedpost and shrugged at Amelia's question. "I haven't sat them yet, so there's only the rumors from last year's graduates, and they don't make them sound fun in the least bit." She sighed, resigned, at least getting them done and over with would mean that she was one step closer to graduation and a real Quidditch Pitch ... and real professional players (not that Amelia didn't count but).
"Ohh, well, I wouldn't exactly call him unexciting. He certainly looks nice on a broom." She grinned, cheeks heating slightly as she shook her head. She hadn't been seeing him around so much anymore. Sure, they had classes together but outside of that she gotten less than a glimpse of him, maybe she had been a bit ... overeager? Either that it was her mind playing tricks on her. He always seemed to be leaving a room as she was entering it. Probably coincidence. "I think we're all at least a bit nervous; after all, the end of the year means Quidditch Teams making offers, at least for us mere mortals." She replied, tagging on the last line with a teasing grin cast at her roommate. "I still haven't heard anything past whispers. Going out into the big, bad world is nerve wracking enough without all of those extra nerves." She had been living with the nerves well and truly since the rumors of Quidditch Scouts appearing in the stands at their matches had begun, she couldn't help the mild feeling of dread in the pit of her stomach even if she hadn't heard of anyone getting offers yet. There was still some time to go until the end of the semester.
Alicia grinned, "Absolutely, last big party before I'm off, isn't it. Gotta enjoy the sights before everyone sets off and we barely see anyone anymore." It did brighten her day a fair bit knowing Lucas was asking about her, in any way. "He did ask after me, did he? I'd thought he was avoiding me." They had kissed, once, a few weeks ago. It hadn't been all fireworks and romance but it had been something, and it did take some amount of intention to end up with his mouth on hers. Not the sort of thing that just happened, was it? Maybe this was a bit of progress.
"This is true." She cocked her head at her friend with a little smile kicking her legs lightly from where she sat on the bed before taking her sneakers off and chucking them under the bed. "You might not even need to do that. I'll probably accidentally burn the school down during my Potions final." She half joked, half meant it, and plopped backwards on her back with a dramatic sigh. "I'm sure you'll ace them Alicia. Flitwick has been telling anyone who will listen that half of the NEWTs is just walking in their with confidence and not psyching yourself out. Think of it like a match up against Slytherin. You don't get nervous about that do you and they're decent enough. Not as good as us of course." The Keeper ran her fingers through her brown hair messing it up around her head and face like some sort of halo.
"Says you." At her comment about Lucas Amelia rolled her eyes at her friend. "He looks like every other Ravenclaw boy to me." She grumped and this was true.... If every Ravenclaw boy was tanned, handsome, broad shouldered, and Lucas. They weren't. Suddenly something clicked and she was propping herself up on her elbows to look at her friend. "Ugh, Alicia you still don't like him do you?" One look at her roommate's face and she knew the truth. With a dramatic groan she was back on her back again. "Why don't you just tell him or ask him on a date or something? Isn't that what people do?" Except, you know Alicia, don't do that. "I mean you already kissed, right?" Alicia had come back that night and told her filled with excitement. It took all of Amelia's might to put on a smile and match it. Inside... she didn't feel happy. She liked that her friend was happy but not the cause. It was complicated and to be truthful Amelia didn't even understand it.
"You can't wait around for him to ask because he won't. He's a rich, pretty boy but he's also a Ravenclaw. He's a dweeb and won't. He doesn't know what to do with strong willed, confident Gryffindor girls like us." She teased, making light of the situation, as she sat up on the corner of the bed again. "Maybe you guys can go out during summer vacation then you can come hangout with me after scrimmage in Hogsmeade." Summer meant intense practices and games for the NY Wolves and Amelia would be largely unavailable unless a friend like Alicia came to her and she could rearrange her schedule to accommodate.

Alicia snorted lightly, "So long as you don't burn down the castle with me in it." That would certainly be a disastrous way to end the year, though it would be quite the bonfire. "Say, when's your Potions final? Mayhaps before my NEWTs start?" She asked with a broad grin, "I wonder if they'd pass all of us under 'special circumstances' if you burned the castle down. Now, that's some worthwhile research." As intriguing as the prospect of getting past her NEWTs scot-free was, she certainly didn't want her friend to fail, as amusing as an idea that might be in theory. "Yeah, I know, but just imagine how much they save on calming draughts if we're all psyched up instead of dropping like flies ... maybe that's the conspiracy." Alicia let out a nervous laugh, she knew that they wouldn't be so terrible, no matter what older students have been saying. Certainly they couldn't be any worse than going up against the Slytherins for the Quidditch Cup. "They certainly can never win if they can never score." She retorted, arching an eyebrow pointedly at Amelia with a teasing grin. "I really do know I'll pass, it's just the anticipatory nerves, really." Like the ones she got before a Quidditch time ... except these were around much longer, and this was the rest of her life.
"I dunno, he has rather nice hair ... kind of fluffy, soft." Alicia's eyes drifted off, smiling softly, just a bit dreamy. Maybe it was that kiss that had been the final severing of (most) of her crush. Actually being with him, instead of making eyes at him across the dining hall, had been different than what she had hoped. "I mean, maybe not so much anymore, I guess." She shrugged, feelings were confusing. At least Quidditch was straightforward. "Yeah, I kissed him." It hadn't quite lived up to the hype, though. "It wasn't the best, you know? No spark, really. Though, it was pretty ok otherwise." She certainly hadn't minded, but she had been hoping for a bit more. "I'd ask him out if it felt ... right? I guess. But I don't know." Alicia flopped her head back in exasperation at herself, "I've had a crush on him since, like, Fifth Year, though. There's bound to be some residual feelings, even after that let down." It hadn't been awkward or anything, just not anything near what she had spent the last year or so daydreaming about.
"Oh, I know. I should have just grabbed him and given it a go when all of this started, instead of waiting until we were almost graduated." Maybe then there would have been something? Doubtful, now that she knew better. "Next time I just have to grab the guy by the collar and go at it, I swear. It'd save some time." Alicia shrugged at the prospect of going out with him over the summer, "If there hasn't been anything yet, I doubt it'd start then." She sighed, missed opportunities and all that. "Though, I certainly wouldn't mind hanging with you in Hogsmeade." Nothing had come up yet, so she might as well spend her time with people she enjoyed being around before life swept her away.
"Sorry 'lish. We're both going down together." The keeper teased her wryly with a knowing smile. There was a time she had been super self conscious about her magical abilities, or lack thereof, but at least with her roommate she could have a sense of humor about it. Well, her and Lucas. She didn't mind horribly when he teased her about it but those instances were few and bar between. It was if he knew that it bothered her deeply when folks did. "Don't you know, Spinnet? I am the most special of circumstances." She rolled onto her side on the bed and rested her cheek in her hand as if posed before flopping down stomach first into the covers and letting out a moan. Any written finals weren't things she looked forward to. Give her a broomstick and the open air.
"Who? Hart?" She frowned and peeked her face out from behind the covers and mattress with a furrowed brow. "I wouldn't know." Was her only defense as she shrugged figuring this would be a topic that would be discussed for a good deal longer than she wanted it to be. No spark? "Say what now?" It was at this remark that Amelia sat up now genuinely interested in the conversation. "You didn't say that last week. You were so on the moon and now no spark? What gives?" Perhaps for selfish reasons she wanted answers or maybe just some peace of mind. "I know you've been crushing on him for ages and now all of a sudden it's meh?" She sighed and ran her hands through her hair looking at the floor. "Maybe it was the location?... Or maybe he just doesn't have much experience with kissing and is bad at it?" Why was she even trying to justify this? Didn't she want it to end terribly?
"Good. He won't get in our way of hanging out then." Amelia said with an impish grin excited at the promise of hanging out with her best friend during a time that had previously be reserved for Quidditch and nothing but. For the first time in a long while she was beginning to see other people. Other things in her life that were almost as fun. ALMOST. "I can introduce you to my teammates if you want. Mulkerne and Shrey are a bit much but still fun. If they get too handsy with you I'll smack 'em." The beaters were nice enough but a lot of energy and not a ton of common sense. Super bro-y. Nothing Alicia couldn't handle though.

"Not if I escaped through one of the many hidey-holes in the castle. You'd have to tie me down, and I'd think Snape would have some words about that going on in his classroom." Alicia certainly wasn't a fan of the great Dungeon Bat, but that didn't mean she was at all tempted to poke the sleeping bear if it meant that she could end up in detention with him. No thanks. "If we have to go down with the ship and all at least make it quick." Team mates had to stick together and all, even if they were forced into it. She wouldn't want to meet her fiery end with anyone else. They'd been forced into enough training and team bonding sessions with each other, after all. On top of being roommates. "Oh, I hadn't a clue." She teased back lightly with a snort. It had been something that had niggled at her early on, sure, but Alicia had seen Amelia on a broom and knew the girl well enough at the beginning from the team that that righteous feeling had passed quickly. "I'm pretty sure you're the super-human Quidditch God come down to grace us mere mortals with her presence." Alicia added with a grin, "Perhaps I should build a shrine out of your stinky socks." The vapors of good luck and all that.
"Oh? Then just run up to him and given him a good pet. He definitely uses some sort of product on it. It's quite nice." She'd only ever felt it once, and well, if their kissing hadn't been top notch, at least there had been his hair. Maybe she should ask him what he used, because it was obviously doing something good. "I don't know, I was hyped about it all week because it finally happened." She shrugged halfheartedly, she had certainly wanted something to come of it at first, but after the dust had settled the prospect didn't seem as thrilling. "It wasn't bad or anything, just nothing terribly special for me." Not as exciting as she had expected it to be. "Though the year I spent staring at him isn't a complete loss since he is quite pretty." Alicia shrugged at the question about the location, "I mean, it was an empty hallway, not a cramped broom closet, so it wasn't too bad." There were certainly more romantic locales, but not too many that didn't have little firsties and Professors lurking about. "It's not like he kissed like a flobberworm, either. It just wasn't the same as all the hype up to it, for me. Not something I'd want to put in the time dating for, if there wasn't a spark the first time." At least now that she knew that it wasn't such a terrible let down. Not the same as the heart wrenching pain of seeing him with another girl when she was still daydreaming over him.
Alicia snorted lightly, "Nope. Unless we somehow lure him and have a go at him with some of those new Zonko's products." She replied with a bit of a mischievous smile, she didn't have any ill will towards Lucas or anything, but it'd certainly make for a bit of summer fun. Alicia grinned at the prospect of meeting Amelia's team mates, "I'm sure I could take them." After the mild irritation of fending off Slytherins and students who were way into the Quidditch players on the Gryffindor team, Amelia's team mates seemed like a walk in the park.
"Snape doesn't have words about anything." She grumbled. As a Gryffindor she had managed the unthinkable and avoided Snape's wrath but only because she kept her head low and some of her teammates or fans were in her class and would cover her behind. Thank Merlin she did well on written exams because that was her saving grace. At least she tried. "You would. Then again if you haven't gotten yourself suspended or benched by now there isn't much that you can do to get yourself into actual trouble. Maybe you ought to join Potter's band of merry idiots."
At being called a Quidditch God her face turned as red as her Gryffindor sweater. Even if the words were true and her skill was very real she was still pretty modest and had a difficult time taking a compliment. "That's a load of bullsh**." She murmured needing to look away as she got off her bed and went to her duffle picking it up and tossing it in the chair by her bed. "You keep your feet in sneaks all day and see how your feet fair." She shot back with a bite though she wasn't being mean. It was just another exchange in a day in the life. Alicia was her teammate, roommate, and friend there was a sense of comfort here that she didn't have with most anyone else. Add in that they were about the same age and the same gender and it was a marvelous combo.
"No shrine necessary." She gave a half shrug changing her socks and then spraying herself with some vanilla smelling muggle spray. "Yeah. I'm sure a good pet would go over well. One time I highfived him and he looked bloody mortified." During her time overseas it seemed she had managed to pick up some of the jargon. "I guess it's like with a muggle movie. Everyone hypes it up and then when you finally see it it's not as good. Maybe? I dunno..." She probably didn't need to add in the fact that she had seen them snogging (well in her opinion that's where it was). She had unsuspectingly rounded a corner and spotted them only to duck behind the wall and hate herself for so many reasons. "How did it.... happen... I mean.. You don't have to tell me you just.. uh... left that part out?" Yuck. That came out weird. Her ears burned. She wasn't even sure she wanted to hear it but here she was asking.
"He's ok." She liked to claim that she never noticed so this was a step in some direction. No telling which. "Well, I guess you can at least brag that you did it. Maybe I can rub it in his face a little. Politely of course." She winked. Of course she wouldn't be polite or apologetic but only because it would make her feel better.

"No, he just has that glare - and then he takes half your house points." Alicia shuddered at the thought. At least she could keep up well enough that she didn't attract his ire that much, no more than anyone else in her house received for just being a Gryffindor anyway. At least she wasn't Potter, and whatever Snape's issue was with him. Her only fault was putting up a fight whenever Snape wrangled away the Gryffindor Quidditch Team's practice time on the Pitch for the Slytherins. "Yeah, the professors like me too much." She shrugged, she hadn't ever had much of an issue with Professors or getting into trouble - it wasn't ever really worth ending up benched because she'd been up to no good. "I think I'm a bit old for Potter's merry band, and I'm not that big a fan of life and death situations." They ended up getting into all sorts of trouble kids their age shouldn't be in, something she could barely begin to comprehend.
"I dunno, I mean you managed to get Wood to get off his broom every once in a while so you can play. I'd call that a Godly sign." No one could get Wood off the Pitch at least, not without a fight. Alicia wiggled her toes in her flats, "I think these count, and my feet get pretty sweaty without socks, so my shoes probably smell something terrible." She shrugged, it wasn't that big of a deal. Her Quidditch uniform probably smelled significantly worse at the end of a game, or practice, though. Especially after a game against Slytherin, those ones really took a lot.
Alicia hummed under her breath, "Just tell him that I dared you to, and no Gryffindor can turn down a dare. He already looks at me oddly, why not make it worse?" She'd certainly pay to see the look on Lucas's face when Amelia did that. "I haven't seen many muggle movies, so I wouldn't really know. I just spent so much time daydreaming about it that I probably over exaggerated some things." Alicia snorted when Amelia asked about how the kiss happened, "I don't really know, it was kind of sudden." She shrugged, "We were just walking down the hall together and I don't know, it just happened." She'd been making eyes at him for a while already, and he had evidently been interested enough. It was safe to say that it had ended awkwardly though ... and with her doing a loop around the school to avoid him. "We haven't even talked about, it was just a really odd, really brief situation." Alicia sighed softly, "I don't think it was even much more than a peck, if that, really." But then she hadn't needed much more to finally get her feelings straight.
"Yeah he's definitely nice." Just not the one for her, apparently. No matter how much she had hoped and dream otherwise. At least there were other fish in the sea, and she wouldn't end up spending any unnecessary time fawning over him. "Ohh, yes. Let him think I'm utterly enamored with him, maybe?" Alicia snorted at the mere idea of it, "And he thought he'd gotten rid of me!" She added with a giggle, rolling her eyes. No, she was more than happy to be moving on.
"All of them if you're a Gryffie. Lucky us." Amelia chimed in actually stifling a snort. While she loved Quidditch and all of the games and practices sometimes it was nice just to hang around and goof off with a friend. Refreshing in a way. Hard to explain. "Professor Snape can be reasoned with though." For whatever reason instead of getting heated with him when he tried to snag the pitch from her team she had managed to talk him into some sort of compromise. No one knew why he sort of listened to her but it most likely had to do with her last name and the memories it brought the man... Evans. "You're lucky I'm here to keep you in check Spinnet or you would have been benched long ago." She shook her head with a little laugh now standing in the corner of the room by her desk and opening a drawer retrieving a muggle Hershey Bar.
"What? You don't want to hang out with the kiddos and save the world?" She rolled her eyes slightly taking a bite out of the treat. Mmmm... Just right. She was very appreciative of her parents in that moment though the thought of her mother trying to master wizarding postal service amused and confused her. "You'd fit right in next to Weasley, Granger, and Potter. You could be the next Longbottom. The twins would have a field day with that." Wait a second. "Say why don't you ask Fred or George to the BBQ. Whichever one Angelina doesn't get to first." Alicia might have fun with that. The twins would certainly appreciate it.
"I'm better than Wood." She shrugged confidently taking another bite of the candy bar. There would be no arguing that. Everybody knew it. You weren't on a professional team as a teenager for just being ok. Though her and Wood had dated (and maybe still were) he knew that much... Even if it complicated things. Like you being jealous that your best friend and Lucas kissed. How weird was that? "And that's it?" It was as simple as that? "Maybe talk to him about it." She shrugged turning her back to face her friend as she tossed the wrapper of the candy bar into the trash bin. "Or don't. Up to you." As her friend pretended to swoon Amelia's face turned red again and pursing her lips she turned around to face her. "Shut up." She picked up a quill from the desk and tossed it toward Alicia. "I was only asking."

"Ah, us Gryffies, great at everything except winning Snape's favor." Alicia had never truly experienced Snape's bad temper, at least not personally. Still, she'd heard plenty about what happened with the younger years around Potter's age. That classroom could be a bit of a hot mess, based off of the rumors. "Yeah, but you have to be brave enough to want to risk reasoning with him." Sure, working as a professor had to be a tough job but as a Gryffindor she never really knew what side of his temper she would come out on. The difference between being considered impertinent against curious and intelligent. Alicia snorted at the image of Amelia keeping her in check, "Well, I've never come out swinging at anyone so it couldn't have been too much work." She grinned across at her friend, "Plus you need me for the team, our reserves still need some training after all." She loved helping teach the younger years, getting them ready to take up her spot, but they weren't quite ready yet.
"Saving the world is hard enough without having to change diapers." Sure, Potter was a good Quidditch player and he and his friends did well in class, Granger more so, but they were still so young and they had years of learning left to go. So many spells that they didn't know. "My mum would probably send a howler about getting myself too entangled with foolhardy little Gryffindors." The concern made Alicia feel all warm and fuzzy, but that didn't mean it wasn't a hassle. "Can you imagine the ribbing I'd get for taking up with the twins' ickle little brother? No thanks." Not to mention the rather significant age gap, she'd rather avoid the extra hassle of the jokes during practice. "Ohh, maybe. They'd certainly be fun." She tilted her head, considering it, "I'm not sure if I'd be up for checking my drink repeatedly if they decided to try anything. I'd rather not end up with violet hair, or as a toad." Still, the idea was appealing given her recent romantic failings, "The twins aren't half bad, either. I'd never thought of them." Not that fraternization between team mates was encouraged.
"You definitely are." Alicia replied with a grin, Amelia was certainly easier to get along with than Wood since she wasn't ever trying to run them into the ground with endless practices. Not to mention Amelia being a pro player. "I mean, yeah, that's it." Alicia snorted after a moment, "Unless you think I should just up and shag him just to make sure?" She wasn't interested but if Amelia really though he was missing something. Alicia tilted her head at Amelia's insistence that she was only asking, "I think the lady doth protest too much." Alicia retorted, arching an eyebrow curiously.
"Ain't that the truth..." The Keeper grunted not even wanting to think of the trials and tribulations ahead that they had with the younger years. They definitely weren't any Spinnet, Johnson, Wood, or Evans that was for sure. The team was going to have some major issues when the whole lot of them graduated. Then the team would be in the hands of Potter. She could almost shudder thinking about that one. Save the world? Sure. She could buy into the fact that he might do that. Run a Quidditch team, even one at a high school level? Not in this lifetime.
"A howler man... I could go a lifetime without hearing another one of those." When Ron had received one and accidentally opened it in the Great Hall. She thought that her ear drums might burst. She could still hear the echo even to this day. "Usually I'd be anti dating within the team but if it'll get your hormones to cool their jets and get back to focusing on Quidditch I'm all for it." She grumped now sitting on the corner of her desk she closed the drawer she had opened resting her feet on the nearby chair.
Her eyes widened at Alicia's very forward comment about Lucas and this time she had to look away to hide the expression on her face. "Er... yeah... I mean... Whatever gets you through the week." She cleared her throat suddenly overwhelmed by the comment (and Evans was no prude). Protest too much? Was that Shakespeare... And why? She wasn't sure she liked what Alicia was getting at. Sometimes the girl knew and shared a little too much. "What are you saying?" Came the direct question accompanied by narrowed eyes.

"Yeah, howlers aren't something I enjoy, though it would be rather endearing coming from my mum." Just an odd and very straightforward way of showing that she cared in the place of a strongly worded, novel length, letter. Granted, all of the attention wouldn't be appreciated - students got howlers rarely enough, with her being a Seventh Year it would even be more awkward. "My hormones are not out of control." Alicia protested weakly, it wasn't like she was just running around making out with random guys. "I haven't dated anyone in like a year, and it's not like I even had a relationship with Lucas at the end of it." She shrugged, she wasn't irritated with it, it had just been a while. "If anything, it's been a long dry spell." The Weasley twins were cute, too, not to mention interesting. Maybe she would ask one of them, after talking to Angelina of course. Couldn't go stepping on her toes, especially with how things were going with her and George.
Alicia blinked in surprise at Amelia's reaction, sitting up and leaning towards her friend. "Hey, are you ok?" She asked, her eyebrows drawing together in concern. "You know I'm not interested in him anymore, right?" Alicia added, did Amelia like him? Alicia didn't care, not now that she was well and truly over that pesky little crush."You know I don't care if you're interested in him, right?" Sure, Alicia might have some lingering feelings over Lucas but she wasn't going to be chasing after him again. Not now that she knew for sure that the spark she was looking for wasn't there. "I mean, I'm wondering if you like him." Alicia replied, more straightforward than she had been - maybe she shouldn't have teased about that so much given what she suspected, but she hadn't exactly expected that sort of response from Amelia either.
"Luckily it took my mom a good few years to figure out how to ship a package here so I think I'm safe from howlers." Thankfully. Reaching out with her right hand she tucked some light brown hair behind her ear. At least her parents tried to 'get it' though. They tried their best even though sometimes it was overwhelming to be non magical not even knowing such things existed then being thrown to the wolves.
"I'm only kidding Alicia. Geeze." Partially. Another part of her was bitter and upset she had caught her friend snogging with her other friend. Yeah, friend. That was it. "You can do whatever you want. Besides, you're going to do it anyways." There wasn't any anger in her words. It was just a matter of fact and one she needed to accept. Sometimes it would be fine. Other times, like now, it would be hard for her to swallow. Then again she was never much of a romantic or boy crazy. At least she didn't feel like she was.
"Yeah I'm fine." She brushed the question off walking around the room which made her even more suspicious. "Why are you asking?" No, don't go opening doors there Amelia, Alicia would always walk right through them and get to the bottom of things. Like it was her mission and she was paid for it. "I don't care if you are. I don't know why you would think that. If you like him you like him." She shrugged again turning her back to her friend and holding onto the back of the chair at her desk. Merlin, why couldn't she just drop it? Because she was Alicia, that's why. It just wasn't in her nature.
"You know I don't care if you're interested in him, right?"
Amelia's face turned bright red, her jaw dropped, and she spun around quickly to look at Alicia startled. "What? I'm not. I don't." She sputtered which was so unlike her. "You take that back." She demanded pointing at the Chaser across the room. "Of course I don't like him. Hart is preppy, rich, walks around like he owns the place probably because with daddy's money he does, he's annoying, and is practically like a big kid..." And maybe I like him. Sh**. No. This couldn't be! Don't even go there. "We're just friends and we're even barely that." She insisted, turning away from her again wrapping her arms around herself. Shoot.

Alicia arched an eyebrow, "Are you? Because it doesn't really sound like it." She shrugged, fidgeting with the edge of her blanket. She didn't take offense at Amelia's words, given the niggling of suspicion Alicia had about Amelia's feelings towards the handsome Ravenclaw. It definitely seemed like Amelia was protesting just a bit too much, and that she was maybe a touch more curious than what Alicia would have expected. But, if Amelia really was that interested in him she certainly wasn't going to be the one standing in her way. Though, she might be inclined to give them a good shove at one another. "You know, maybe you should do it." Alicia retorted, arching an eyebrow in challenge. "Ask Lucas to the barbecue yourself and then snog him silly at the end of the night." She shrugged, feigning innocence, "Sounds like a marvelous idea to me." Maybe it was just a bit evil, but if it worked where was the harm? "And I'll ask the charming Fred Weasley, myself." She smirked, at least the twins were fun to be around, if a bit of a handful. "Hell, I'll even snog him if you ask Lucas, and then you'll get that show, too." And it would mean she would be able to get one over on Weasley, and considering how much they had to deal with from the twins it was about time for payback.
"Maybe because you're being a bit defensive for someone casually interested in my love life?" Alicia's love life certainly wasn't all that exciting, though she had grown into a habit of oversharing just a bit when some did catch her eye. Now it was her turn to badger Amelia just a bit, and if she did it long enough maybe she'd get to the bottom of whatever this was. There was definitely something there. "Oh, ok. So you don't care about whatever I do with Lucas?" She tilted her head and laughed. Yeah, that seemed rather doubtful. "Well, at least I'm not planning on doing anything else with him." Not that she had ever done much of everything with him, but still. At this point, Amelia's reaction to this whole situation was significantly more interesting than anything that happened with Lucas.
Alicia practically cackled at Amelia's response, "Oh, I'm so not taking that back." Not when this was the reaction that she had gotten. Things were certainly getting interesting. "He might be preppy and rich, but he's not nearly so bad as anyone like Malfoy. He's rather nice, too, and not so annoying." Alicia waggling her eyebrows suggestively at that last statement, "Maybe you could go around and be annoying together." Now, now it sounded like Amelia was just giving excuses and trying to weasel her way out of her feelings. "Just friends, huh? Friends like you and me?" Alicia smirked, that was so not the truth. "I don't have many friends that I like like that." She shrugged, as if maybe that was just Amelia. Sure, she might have had friends she liked but she didn't like all her friends like that.
