Shopping was a long enough process without the myriad of raised eyebrows and side glances that people sent for Dezzy's choice of robe colors. Apparently they was still some lingering resentment towards Slytherins, and everything the color green was meant to stand for - because obviously colors could do that sort of thing. All of this probably wasn't help by her smirking at them, but they were the ones with the overactive imaginations anyway. Really, she'd have thought more people would have learned to bundle everything up and not react so obviously, especially after the war and everything. It was more than valuable, if not the reasons that she was even still alive. Seriously, she'd wanted to be in and out of the shop in however long it took her to grab the first appealing formal robes off the rack. Instead, she was stuck dealing with the ickle flobberworms pretending like they had any right to judge her, as if there was anything to judge her for.
Desdemona huffed out an irritated breath as she trailed her fingers over the hangers, every once in a while picking up one of the dresses to examine it. She wasn't moderately interested in retreating from her everyday jeans, but there was no way that she could go parading around in just those with her job. So, pencil skirts and dress robes it was. She'd set foot in the shop in the first place only because her rather dubious collection of dresses was rather unsuitable for any potential ministry events, and it would be her duty to attend them - either as an heir to a pureblood family or as a personal assistant. Dezzy couldn't exactly squirrel her way out of them anymore, though she hadn't been invited to them much to begin with. Their loss.
Dezzy swept a few strands of her brown locks back behind her ear and hummed lightly under her breath, she most certainly wasn't enjoying this - not that she was letting her peaceable facade fall. Not until she whirled around to glare sharply on whoever it was lurking behind her. "What do you want? Here to cackle at the girl with the 'poor' taste in colors?" If so, they were certainly going to have a fight on their hands.
Kaia loved to shop, her mind wanted her to go every day, but she knew that it wasn't reasonable to spend boatloads of money every week, so she tried her best to only shop once a week. This week she needed to buy some robes that hopefully hid her baby belly a little better than her current ones did. She had no intentions of telling her coworkers quite yet... K looked into the window of the store she was standing in front of 'Ok Kaia, only two outfits today,' she thought to herself, she really needed to not show up at home with five bags of clothes, she was running out of room to hide them from her brother. She was a little embarassed of her shopping addiction and the last thing she needed to do was show her brother how bad it had gotten.
K pulled open the door to the store and took a deep breath the smell of new clothes was almost eupohoric to her. She loved it. She walked in running her fingers along the nicely racked clothing inspecting a few to see if they were the right fit for her. K picked up a few shirts and drapped them over her arm getting ready to try them on. She glanced down towards the front of the store hearing some whispers that seemed to be aimed at a girl a couple racks over. K thought it was a bold choice wearing green, not because of what people thought it represented but just because not a lot of people could pull it off.
K contined to search through the racks slowly making her way closer to the girl. She glanced up at the girl, probably at a bad time as it seemed she was the one to get snapped at. "I'm sorry, I was going to say you pull off that green really well," K said softly not wanting to get yelled at. She knew a lot of people didn't like green for the fact that it represented... Slytherin? K didn't know she hadn't attended Hogwarts, although she sister-in-law had died in the wizarding war she felt no ill will towards people that were in a specific house at a certain school. Well, she tried not to at least. Kaia was ready for a fight too if this girl wanted it though, she wasn't one to just lay there and take it.
