Plots for Celyn!

* General

So, most of the interaction Celyn gets with, well, anything comes from the creatures he cares for at the menagerie. He isn't exactly a social butterfly and definitely prefers to keep to himself, or his creatures, if there is the option. That said, he's quite caring and won't hesitate in his approach if he thinks that someone needs help. He has a grain of impulsivity that has driven him into rather dangerous situations in the past, but it also gives him that little extra shove to actually talk to someone. Once he does start talking he might be a touch awkward, but eventually he'll find his groove. Outside of his animals, he tries to keep up with most modern magical advances, typically in the realm of magical creatures, and will probably always be up for some sort of spirited debate if given the opportunity. Dragging him out of his comfort zone is the main issue anyone who attempts to befriend him will find.

* Friends

Celyn doesn't make close friends very easily, so he probably does have quite a few friendly acquaintances. Friendship would generally mean having to get to know him, without having him clam up and divert the conversation. He is quite the attentive listener, even if he's rather naive about ... everything.

* Enemies

You go after magical creatures and you're going to have problems with him, but otherwise it's rather difficult to gain an enemy of him since he can be a bit of a push over sometimes.

* Romance

Celyn hasn't had too many relationships in the past, perhaps one doing his schooling and a few when he was travelling. Nothing all that serious given he has never really settled down in the past. Still, his ideal guy would probably be someone who can drag him bit by bit from his comfort zone and still put up with his incessant chattering about magical creatures.

Emmy here is a selective mute whose father was murdered in front of her and her mother committed suicide when she was very young. I don't know why but I think these two would get along? She doesn't like most folks but if he has access to magical creatures what kid wouldn't like that? She also can speak French (by an odd coincidence) so I think it would make even more sense that they know one another. Maybe he knew her father or mother and still keeps in touch?

Oh yeah, that sounds like an interesting idea! He definitely could have known her parents, either from school or just from his travels. After he heard about the death of her parents he would have definitely started writing letters at least, if not paying a visit from time to time. His solution to half of her problems would probably be along the lines of 'look what cool creature I have!' because he wouldn't have much of an idea of how to help her, but fluffy animals can help soo.

Yeah. It'll be nice for the both of them to have someone to connect with even if it's only in writing. Emma loves animals so that's a sure fire way to get her to be less standoffish and skeptical. The history there would also help. At the very least it would distract her from breaking things which is a major plus.

Ceraphi and Celyn
I could actually see them as friends. They would mostlikely have first met as Cera would frequent the Menagerie just to see the owls and the other creatures and just watch them all day. I can probably see Celyn introducing her to new creatures that she can draw inspiration from. Ceraphi's largest inspiration are magical creatures and nature for her music. I could see her just observing Celyn's creatures and making music just by that. I could see her spending hours just watching and just playing with Celyn's creatures.

@ceraphi - Celyn would certainly be more than willing to show off his magical creatures for her. He probably would have been a bit uncertain of her at first, especially if she kept showing up to see the animals, but he'd warm up to her quickly given her appreciation for his animals. He might have also seen her in concert if she made it to France, since his parents could have dragged him on one of his rare visits as some sort of family bonding thing.

Celyn Delacroix
I think that's a good idea. Cera would have definitely made it to france with the orchestra in concert so it would make sense that He would recognize her from there. On her off days though Cera likes to lay low and visit the Menagerie. I could see Cera's bubbly and friendly nature making Celyn a little uneasy. Especially since she never bought any animal, it would rather be suspicious and weird to have her come in everyday. I love that idea. 

@ceraphi - I could imagine him at first being like "Are you trying to chat me up so you can kidnap one of my beautiful creatures?" Like, she's not but the bubbly-ness would absolutely weird him out a bit, especially since he prefers to just hide in the back with his animals. At least, before he knew her.

Oh that sounds great! Should we start with them having already met yes?

Yeah, maybe he's been to her performance and she's come into the shop at least once. So, he knows who she is but might still be a touch suspicious.
