Carlyle "Lyle" Dromme
** 25 -- Auror -- American -- Single**
"I am brave, I am bruised
I am who I'm meant to be, this is me"
Funny, Charming and Quick witted. That's what Lyle's Parents described him as when he was a little boy. He was born in July 25th to an American Witch, Carol Gates and British Wizard, Florence Dromme. Lyle was born in the United States in his mother's childhood home. Carol had a hard time conceiving and a rather rocky pregnancy with Lyle as he was even born as a pre-mature baby. He was raised with the utmost care and fragility as the couple knew that they may never have another child again. Although that never stopped Lyle from being as rambunctious as he is.
Lyle developed his magic at a young age and was under the tutelage of is father, a former Auror. Lyle always felt closest to his father as his father was thrilled to have a baby boy and someone to continue his name and legacy. Florence told his son stories of magic and of Hogwarts and for a budding wizard like Lyle, getting into Hogwarts was his only dream: to go to Hogwarts and be like his dad. When his father was being called back to the Ministry the whole family had to move. Lyle was 5 that time and saw less and less of his father as he grew up. Their relationship wasn't completely severed, it was just strained from all the missed moments that they could have had together, especially since Carol, Lyle's mother, was dying.
Because they didn't want their child to grow up lonely and his own continued longing for companionship, Carol and Florence tried to have another baby with severe consequences. Carol Dromme became shockingly and rapidly sick when after she miscarried Lyle's supposed younger sister. It wasn't long after that, Carol Dromme Died. It was a dark year for the family. Florence never smiled again nor did he ever cry especially in front of his son. Lyle watched as his once proud father gave up on life as if nothing mattered. He knew he had to do something about it. Lyle worked harder at his magic, spent time with his depressed father and gave all of his attention to making him smile again even though he was also distraught by his mother's passing. For a child of 10 years old, he was forced to grow up fast.
Lyle's Hogwarts letter came a year after her mother's passing. He knew this was the start of a whole knew chapter but he did not want to leave his depressed father alone. Lyle entered Florence's chamber and hugged his father; The first time since his mother died. He held up his Hogwarts letter to his dad who then picked him up, made him stand on a stool, and looked him in the eyes with tears escaping from his own and hugged his son. He laughed and applauded and had the house elves make a grand feast. Both Lyle and his father felt a weight lifted from off their backs and slowly life came back into their lives. With the short time they had before Lyle left for Hogwarts, they spent it together just like how they did when Lyle was a little boy. And when Lyle was about to leave, Florence gave him an enchanted notebook then when written on his message will appear on his father's own notebook and vise-versa. "So we don't miss each other too much" Says his father as Lyle rushed into the train, popping his head out one of the windows waving goodbye.
Funny, Charming and Outspoken, that is what his fellow Hufflepuffs described Lyle. He played as a beater for the house starting from his second year. He gained a good amount of friends and learned so much new magic. He was actually friends with Cedric Diggory before he died. He was called the next Cedric or the one who was most likely to carry the Hufflepuff name, but for him, there was nothing to carry. Hufflepuff already was a house he saw as great and didn't need a single person to represent it, but everyone to imbibe the Hufflepuff value of Loyalty and Hardwork. He took pride in being a Hufflepuff and was very considerate and patient with everyone in his house when he was appointed head boy.
From the day of his graduation he worked as an Auror for the ministry. He was often teased for his rather young looking face and his sometimes immature gestures, comments and remarks but everyone who ever worked with him knew that Carlyle was a severely Passionate and Loyal wizard who would always be on the side of good.
