At a young age, a very young age, you can play the piano. You're the breadwinner of your family. You are super close to your dad. Your mother commits suicide when you're three years old so you have no female role models in your life. You think things can't get any worse but then your father is murdered right in front of you in the alleyway of a theater you played at.

You retreat within yourself barely speaking... If at all. You're paired up with a man who doesn't know what the f*** to do with you. He would be screwed if he got someone who actually was a child. You're sure that you're smarter than he is but you start to get attached. You start to love him. He's the only good thing in this world and you don't want to share. You don't play piano anymore. You see no reason to. You feel so alone. So lost. So angry. You're five years old and this shouldn't be how you feel. You shouldn't be here. Why are you so angry?...

Ceraphi would probably be a fan of Emmy especially with her being a prodigy and everything. Cera would most likely invite Emma to one of her shows. It see a rather big sister little sister vibe going on with them and maybe they can even collaborate in making music and do a concert together.

@ceraphi - Sounds good to me! Emmy is a bit standoffish with females but maybe Cera can be one of the few she isn't horrified of. Lord knows she needs the influence in her life!

daphne & emmy

I was thinking that as Emma's now an orphan, it's likely that she would have been placed with her guardian through Daphne's agency. If you wanted to go that route, Daphne makes an effort to stay abreast of as many cases as she can manage, particularly cases like Emma's - her trauma hits home for Daphne on a personal note, but it also means that there would have been more requirements for finding a placement for her than there would be for a child who wasn't so severly traumatised. Basically what I'm trying to say is that Daphne would make an effort to stay aware of Emma's case and how she's doing with her guardian, and may occasionally have meetings with them herself to check up on them and see how they're getting on?
